Hearts at Home COVID-19 Update<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p dir=\"auto\">In these times of uncertainty, we want you to know that the safety and health of our clients and employees are always a top priority.\u00a0 Now more than ever,\u00a0<strong>our business is you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">As we continue to monitor the developments and navigate through these challenging circumstances, we want you to know that you can rely on us always to put your health and safety first.<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>One of the safest places our clients can be is at\u00a0<strong>HOME<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Our caregivers are aware of and practicing proper hand washing techniques and cleanliness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Below is a summary of how we&#8217;ve prepared our care team:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sanitation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>We have and always will follow strict guidelines, but we have recently intensified\u00a0and increased our practices.\u00a0 Our staff have been instructed on hand washing guidelines, work space cleanliness, and protocols implemented from the World Health Organization<br \/>\n(WHO) and the Centers for\u00a0Disease\u00a0Control (CDC).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keeping Clients Safe.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Training is a hallmark of our agency.\u00a0 Effective immediately, we have implemented mandatory\u00a0COVID-19 training for all of our staff.\u00a0 We&#8217;re sending frequent\u00a0reminders to the care team, reiterating the importance of using universal precautions including hand-washing\u00a0and disinfectants.\u00a0\u00a0As a precautionary\u00a0measure, we are asking all employees to take their temperature and assess their own health prior to going to work.\u00a0 Any team member with an elevated temperature or signs of illness will not be allowed to care for our clients during this public health crisis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimizing the Risk of Spread.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>We&#8217;ve updated our client consultations to screen for flu-like symptoms so we can ensure proper protections are in place prior to start of care.\u00a0\u00a0For current clients, our team members will perform\u00a0brief weekly client assessments and record additional daily notes regarding client health status.\u00a0 We are also\u00a0asking our clients\/clients&#8217;
