Our Caregivers
Our Caregivers
Hearts at Home is committed to bringing the highest level of care to our clients. All Caregivers must complete the Caregiver Core Certification (CCC) program which is a national, comprehensive curriculum developed to improve the level of care provided. The CCC curriculum consists of approximately 12 hours of continuing education on topics such as:
- Causes and Consequences of Elder Abuse
- HIPAA and Client Rights
- Body Systems and the Aging Process
- Observation, Reporting, and Recording
- Workplace Hazards and Safety
- Infection Control and Prevention
- Promoting and Maintaining Good Mobility
- Instrumental Activities of Daily Living
At the conclusion of each topic, caregivers are tested and must demonstrate mastery prior to becoming certified. Certification is required for continued employment with Hearts at Home Senior Care. We strive to continually increase the knowledge base of our caregivers though ongoing training that includes a specialized curriculum. Opportunities for additional certifications are provided in Dementia Care, Diabetes Care, Parkinson’s Care, Multiple Sclerosis Care, Metal Health Care, Developmental Disabilities, Post Hospital Care, End of Life Care and Personal Care Aide.
Tapping into the owner’s medical background, we are uniquely able to provide caregiver training to meet nearly any situation. Our caregivers are committed, highly qualified, and carefully screened to match the needs of each individual client. Many have been with the company since inception more than twelve years ago. Most importantly, our caregivers are dependable and extraordinarily caring of others.
